The Building Safety Group

What are you looking for?

Who we are

We’re proud to be not-for-profit. We exist for the benefit of our members, and we are owned by our members.

Join BSG and become part of the UK’s largest construction industry safety group. You’ll receive regional and local support from experienced advisers.

You can access a range of training courses for all your staff. And remember, our members automatically receive a 20% discount off all courses booked with BSG.

You’ll demonstrate to your staff, customers, and regulatory bodies that you operate at the highest standards.

And as a BSG member, you can directly influence our priorities to ensure that we are supporting you and your business effectively.

Our members have peace of mind knowing that we provide them with competent, expert advice and keep them aware of the latest changes in legislation and guidance.

What makes us different?

The Building Safety Group (BSG) is owned and run by companies just like yoursOur board of directors are all members of BSG. They decide what services are provided and what the cost will be.

We offer a simple but practical heath and safety plan to suit your business.  Your subscription would be on a rolling six month agreement, which means you are not tied into an extended contract with a long ‘get out’ clause. This provides you with the flexibility to move to another supplier, should you wish to, although the majority of our members choose to stay with BSG.

Shared values

At BSG we believe we share the same values as you. Our members want a service which is consistent, transparent and delivered cost effectively. That’s what we do. Here are some of the other reasons why you should consider joining us along with 800 other constructions businesses operating through the UK.

  • BSG specialises in helping companies operating in the construction sector. We support many different sizes and types of building, construction and allied trades. This means we have gained knowledge and experience across a wide variety of sectors, including yours. We believe this is important because it means we can offer a service which is specifically ‘tailored‘ for your business. How? Because we understand your business.
  • Any profit created is re-invested into the services we provide to ensure continuous improvement across the services we provide
  • All of our Safety Advisors are directly employed by BSG. We don’t use agency staff. This helps to ensure that the health and safety advice we provide is always consistent and does not vary, wherever we are working.
  • Our Safety Advisers are all experts in their respective fields and trained to a very high standard. Many are Chartered members of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
  • The advice we offer will always be practical and jargon free (we don’t just tick boxes!)
  • Our advisers are based throughout the UK, delivering over 15,000 site inspections per year. This means we can support your business locally, wherever you are based
  • We offer CITB approved training courses at a heavily discounted rate for our members, which can be provided at our training centre, on your premises or delivered remotely online
  • Over 2000 users regularly login to our online portal to complete risks assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments. The portal (BSG Hub) has been developed by builders for builders, so that any required documentation can be completed quickly with minimum fuss. And without any compromise to health and safety
  • We are able to offer additional, specialist services at BSG because of our unique view of the construction sector. Many of our members use BSG to benchmark their businesses against similar companies. Others make good use of BSG’s Sub-Contractor Assessment Service to help them remain compliant with CDM 2015

If you are interested in joining The Building Safety Group but would prefer to experience some of the services we offer, before making a commitment, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We can offer a free site inspection at a local site of your choice. Or perhaps you would  prefer to trial our online RAMS portal?

Alternatively, if you would simply like a general discussion about how BSG can help, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
