BSG Staff Annual Convention 2017
BSG’s Annual staff convention took place at the Gables Hotel last month. All our employees attended, helping us to remain up to date with the latest legislation and recommendations for the best practice in Health and Safety.
Our Safety Advisers were ‘put to the test’ covering a range of courses which included;
- CDM 2015 Refresher
- Environmental Site inspection updates
- Driver Awareness
- Office staff: Health & Safety Awareness
Richard Voke, from Ashford Solicitors was also on hand to talk about his experiences defending construction companies in their dealings with regulatory bodies and government agencies such as the HSE, the Environment Agency and planning authorities.

The convention concluded with a presentation by the HSE’s HM Principal Inspector, Helena Tinton, who talked about the HSE’s latest statistics for Occupational Health and Safety in construction as well the HSE’s plans for 2018.
