BSG SUPPORTS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK
Work-related stress led to the loss of 12.5 million working days last year and 1 in 6 adults in Britain are experiencing stress related depression, anxiety or health issues. Although stress itself is not defined as a mental health illness or problem, it can lead to anxiety, depression and in extreme cases, self-harm or suicide.
In support of the Mental Health Awareness Week (14-20th May 2018), our Training Manager, Steve Beckwith, held a session on Mental Health Awareness for our London and South East team. During the training, a minute was spent at 10:59am to reflect on our personal well-being. We also used this opportunity to discuss the Mates in Mind scheme and the Cover Up Mate campaign.
