New BSG Training course: Task based Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)
BSG has developed a new ‘Task based Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)’ training program to help construction companies create RAMS documents which are ‘tailor made’ for their business. The course is taught by showing candidates how to use our ‘task based’ RAMS software to create a single task/job based Risk Assessment template for any job or project undertaken. BSG signs Armed Forces Covenant
The Building Safety Group (BSG) has signed the Armed Forces Covenant following its pledge to support those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. The organisation is also open to employing reservists, veterans, cadet instructors and military spouses/partners. Electricity breaches up 12% on construction sites
The Building Safety Group (BSG) has reported a 12% increase in the number of electricity breaches occurring on construction sites. The report was based on 30,000 site inspections conducted by BSG, which compared 2021 with 2022. HSE site inspections across Great Britain to focus on moving and handling materials
Starting in early September 2023, HSE will be undertaking construction site inspections, focusing on moving and handling construction materials. The inspections will be checking employers and workers know the risks, plan their work and are using sensible control measures to protect workers from injuries and aches, as well as pain and discomfort in joints, muscles

The Building Safety Group opens new office in Scotland
The Building Safety Group (BSG) has opened a new office in Scotland. The opening follows a recently agreed partnership between BSG and the Scottish Decorators’ Federation (SDF).
