Classroom set up The course will be run at BSG’s Training Centre based in Bristol (BS35 3QH). This course will be run using the Zoom platform. Minimum requirements:
Clear video and audio quality, to clearly see and hear the course content from your trainer
Download Zoom onto your computer or smartphone
Must be able to have a two-way communication, to ensure that courses remain interactive for you to ask questions
Must have a webcam, to provide evidence of identity and always be visible throughout the duration
A microphone is needed, to participate during the course and answer all examination questions
For all courses you will ideally need at least two of the following so that you can be visible whilst completing the online end course exam – smart phone, laptop, tablet/iPad, desktop computer
Delegates working in the same room must follow social distancing guidelines
BSG is recognised as an ‘Accredited CITB Training provider’. Our CITB courses are monitored, professionally evaluated and approved by the CITB on a regular basis.
Who is it for?
This refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the two-day (SSSTS) course and can provide proof of attendance. The qualification expires after 5 years, but it is recommended by the CITB that you should refresh after 3 years due to ongoing legislation changes.
What will you learn?
The aim of the course is to help delegates to improve their awareness of recent developments in construction, legislation and health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.
By attending and completing this course you will:
Be aware of, and able to implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affects them in their role as a supervisor
Be aware of and able to implement new guidance and industry best practice affected by changes
Be more aware of their duties and responsibilities with regard to health, safety, welfare and the environment.
Successful candidates can go on to complete the 5 day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course designed for site managers and supervisors.
