About this course
Overhead Crane training would be delivered to you on your own site; you would need to supply the crane/equipment. Basic training must be conducted off the job, however during later stages of the training some work tasks may be able to be incorporated once candidates have reached an acceptable standard of safe operation. Every endeavour is taken to minimise the impact on normal working operations and ensure that training is relevant and industry specific.
Training is available on the following types of Crane
- Overhead Gantry
- Pendant/Remote Control
- Man-Up Cab Operated
- Self-propelled/Rail Mounted
- Pedestal Crane
Please note that we do not currently offer training on Tower Cranes.

This course qualifies you to operate the specific type of crane for which you receive training. Operate on any site in the UK with permission of the person responsible for site H & S. It does not qualify you to instruct or supervise others who have not received formal training as a crane operator.
