CONSULTATION ON WORKPLACE EXPOSURE LIMITS FOR A RANGE OF CARCINOGENS

HSE has launched a consultation on proposals to implement amendments to the Carcinogens and Mutagens Directive (2004/37/EC). This introduces or revises occupational exposure limit values for a number of carcinogens including hardwood dust. HSE increases FFI charge by almost 20%

Getting to Grips with Vibration

BSG has reported a 33% year-on-year rise in the number of ‘Hand-Arm Vibration’ breaches recorded on construction sites. The increase is based on over 42,000 independent site inspections conducted over a two-year period, comparing 2017 to 2018. CSCS to withdraw ‘grandfather rights’ cards

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is to phase out cards issued under industry accreditation – also known as grandfather rights.
